Sharjah

Representing Fibonacci Agency, Founder & Chief Growth Officer Zia Saeed attended the Sharjah–USA Business & Golf Day at the Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club, joining business leaders, investors, senior government officials, diplomats, and executives committed to advancing commercial relations between Sharjah and the United States.
Hosted by the Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah) in collaboration with AmCham Dubai, the event served as a platform for leadership dialogue, investment discussions, and relationship building between the American and UAE business communities. Designed to facilitate direct engagement between investors, institutions, and decision-makers, the event highlighted Sharjah's growing role as a gateway for international businesses seeking access to the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia.
The distinguished speaker lineup included:
H.E. Sheikh Fahim Bin Sultan Bin Khalid Al Qasimi – Executive Chairman, Department of Government Relations, Sharjah
H.E. Mohamed Juma Al Musharrkh – CEO, Sharjah FDI Office (Invest in Sharjah)
Robert Raines – U.S. Consul General, U.S. Consulate Dubai
Nasser Bakker – Board Member, AmCham Dubai & Government Engagement Director – Middle East, GE Aerospace
The event took place against the backdrop of a rapidly expanding Sharjah–U.S. economic relationship. Bilateral trade between Sharjah and the United States exceeded AED 3.8 billion (approximately US$1.04 billion) in 2025. Today, approximately 1,200 U.S. companies operate across Sharjah's free zones, while a further 314 American companies are established on the mainland, bringing the total number of U.S. businesses operating in Sharjah to more than 1,500 companies. These figures reinforce Sharjah's position as one of the region's leading destinations for American investment, advanced manufacturing, logistics, technology, and international trade.
Beyond the formal programme, the Business Breakfast, Leadership Dialogue, and networking sessions demonstrated how long-term commercial relationships are built through trust, open dialogue, and sustained engagement. The event created an environment where entrepreneurs, multinational corporations, investors, and public-sector leaders could exchange ideas, explore new opportunities, and discuss the future of one of the region's fastest-growing international business corridors.
One of the strongest themes throughout the day was the confidence surrounding Sharjah's long-term economic trajectory. Discussions reflected optimism around foreign direct investment, advanced manufacturing, logistics, technology, innovation, aerospace, and the continued role of public-private collaboration in attracting global investment. Sharjah's economy recorded 8.5% GDP growth in 2024, with officials expressing confidence in continued economic expansion, further reinforcing the Emirate's attractiveness as a destination for international businesses seeking long-term growth.
