“I was lucky enough, as a law student based in South Africa, to get an opportunity with CEO Zia Saeed and Fibonacci. I joined Fibonacci under the Fibonacci Global Internship Program.

Due to the guidance I received, I was soon hired as a Customer Success Executive. This is a customer-facing role and has allowed me to go outside my comfort zone. For me, Fibonacci has proved to be a platform to learn, grow and excel. Here, I learned to communicate and build healthy work relationships with my colleagues.

I am grateful to Zia & Fibonacci’s contribution towards my personal and professional growth.  Looking forward to many more years together.”

Jamie lives in beautiful and sunny Johannesburg (Jozi) and currently works with Fibonacci as a Customer Success Executive.

“I was selected for the Fibonacci Global Internship Program back in October 2018.

At that time, Fibonacci was a start-up with a handful of employees but a whole lot of learning. I worked directly under the CEO Mr. Zia Saeed, who mentored and trained me to become a Digital & PR Account Executive.

I was provided an opportunity to handle multiple projects on my own. I did client servicing for celebrities, not-for-profit organizations, funded start-ups as well as small to medium-sized businesses. I learned how to draft press releases, work with influencers and journalists, and craft a compelling story for our clients. Due to my real-world training, I became an expert in media management in a short amount of time.

I learnt a lot at Fibonacci, especially project management and business communication skills.”

Areebah currently works as a Growth Associate for a Dallas-based (US) investment company.

“Getting selected for the Fibonacci Global Internship Program has been a life-changing moment for me. Fibonacci’s Global Internship Program is no ordinary internship. I believe it’s an opportunity for students to move out of their comfort zone and explore what real-life situations look like. Working at Fibonacci under the leadership of Zia meant being exposed to real-life business situations from day one.

I was part of the Digital PR team where I was tasked to do extensive research to come up with media-worthy content. I learnt how to draft press releases, conduct research on topics that matter, do outreach to journalists and influencers, and get their attention. I also worked on helping our clients who were all local small to medium businesses rank in search engines like Google and Bing. Being a student, I was always provided space to prioritize my studies and the flexible and inclusive culture provided a great opportunity to learn.

I am grateful for the opportunity and highly recommend Fibonacci as an amazing company to work for.”

Arisha is a business student at the prestigious Institute of Business Administration – the oldest business school outside North America.
